According to this article ( www.delish.com/food/news/a38805/fake-maple-syrup-and-other-food-fakers/ ), some companies are selling counterfeit maple syrup, as well as truffle oil, blueberries, and ground beef! I had no idea, I thought that commercially produced food had to be accurately labeled with a list of actual ingredients. There is a beekeeper and several maple sugar makers in my town, and my aunt-in-law lives on a blueberry farm so I can bypass the commercial versions of those foods at least.
