Yes, ma'am. That's an article in itself. European gravy vs. 'Murrican gravy. Briefly one of my favorite brekkies is biscuits and gravy, which is not a cookie served alongside a tureen of some thin reduction, but a lump of bread with a 'sauce'...
Yep, I thought so too. I just did a Google search for gravy and not one 'white' result did I get. I would say that is a sauce, not gravy.

Some truckstops serve chicken fried (or country fried if you prefer) with sausage gravy. Best of both worlds.
