1952 recipe from a New York published cook book - Elsie’s Cook Book. I added smoked bacon, grain mustard, bay leaves and fresh rosemary, with lemon and garlic infused breadcrumbs. It’s delicious hot or cold, and cold, it’s great in a sandwich with pickle.
