There is so much negativity and disgust for this year and for many rightly so. What I want to do is reflect back on it and look at the positive things that occurred in 2020 for me and I hope you can do the same.
Looking back while writing this I must say 2020 was a pretty good year for me. I will give you my short list of positive things from 2020. First off I got to celebrate my forty sixth birthday, I made it through another year you all. My beautiful wife and I spent two months together eating great food. During that time we celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary and were lucky enough to celebrate it the way we had always planned. We were able to buy the truck we wanted. We were able to do many upgrades and repairs to our home.
Then there is you all. My first post here was in 2020. It is a honor to be a part of this Foodtribe family. I have been able to get to know some of the most wonderful people from all over the world. I am now honored to be a part of a growing Fuel Injection podcast for Drivetribe. I became a contributor to my precious burger tribe. Plus I get to call our beloved John Coleman Sir Juicy John. I also want to add all the fantastic food I ate this year.
You all I can go on and on for hours about all the positive things that happened to me during 2020, but I want to hear your positive things from 2020. So tell in the comments below and lets celebrate the good things of this year. Thanks for letting me be a part of this amazing Foodtribe family. You all are wonderful. I love you all!

Such a great post Doug, we really need to focus on the positives 🙌🏼
I’m so happy that my family and I are safe and healthy, despite these crazy times! During this pandemic I got to work from home, and as a side effect I saved a lot of commute time. This meant spending more time with my husband and precious dogs, I did loads of gardening (which I really enjoyed) and lastly I started my food blog! As a result of this, I have met such an amazing community that enjoys food as much as I do 😁🙏
Thank you! I am glad to hear that. Spending time with pets is important as well.
Like Christy, this year gave me more time with my husband. Instead. The lockdown motivated me to join FT where I met a lot of wonderful people 😊.
I am happy to hear that. There are a lot of good people here and you are one of them my friend. 🙂
Thank you! My 🍔 God friend 🙂
It's been an annoying year, no doubt! But I had some good stuff happen this year that makes me smile. Thanks for making me reflect on that Doug!
I definitely agree it was annoying. You are welcome! I am glad you were able to look back and smile.
For me it this year gave me time to rest and spend more time with my hubby and family. I started my food blog right before the pandemic, but staying at home more gave me the chance to really get into it and cook more. I also found my way here by way of my hubby mentioning he saw there was a new Food site from the 3 amigos. This year also helped me put some things into perspective.
That is all good thanks for sharing. I agree that the time I got to spend with my wife was priceless. Plus I got to know you my friend. 🙂
Same goes. I feel I’ve met some wonderful people here that have truly blessed me. You and others here have helped make this year bearable. It’s been an adventure for sure.
Very specific, hard and problematic year. I'm happy I have joined here and meet such great people 😀, I really really hope following year will be much much better than this one.
