61 people stuck in a pub due to snow blizzard say “we’re fine, we have beer”
*Plenty of beer
61 people were left ‘stranded’ inside Britain’s ‘highest‘ pub, the Tan Hill in the Yorkshire Dales, after a snowstorm blocked all exists.
These 61 random strangers ended up in the same pub to listen to Noasis, an Oasis tribute band, when a sudden snow blizzard hit the pub, leaving all patrons stuck inside as the doors wouldn’t open because of the snow (3 feet, according to the BBC).
But no biggie, they‘re all fine because they have ”plenty of beer”. Nicola Townsend, the pub manager, said everyone is fine and in “good spirits. They've formed quite a friendship … like a big family is the best way I can describe it."
Martin Overton, one of the guests, said there’s nothing to worry about because “there’s plenty of beer available."
After 3 days, the guests were freed… and free to get back inside for ”just more pint”.
