For various reasons (allergies, ethical, or religious) some people want a dairy-free diet but finding a dairy-free biscuit is difficult.

I'm not suggesting it's a healthy alternative but no one is perfect.

The Chocolate Ripple has commonly been used by Australian home cooks in Chocolate Ripple Cake - more on this possibly in a future post - which negates the dairy-free aspect as it is made of layers of biscuits and whipped cream!
