A black bear burger to celebrate a year of Top 5 burgers
I had to bring you all something special to celebrate
That's right FoodTribe, I posted my first Top 5 burger post one year ago today. So I thought I would celebrate this little accomplishment with a burger of course but not just any burger this one is very special it is made with ground black bear that was harvested by my parents while in Maine on a bear hunt.
I combined some Kewpie mayo, garlic, paprika, cayenne, hatch chilies and a special seasoning blend I made up a couple days ago. I put a layer of this on the top and bottom bun, which was brioche buns. On the bottom bun I also added some onion and then came two bear patties cooked on a hardwood charcoal fire with two slices of aged white sharp cheddar cheese. On top of those two nice bear patties went four slices of bacon and some lettuce.
FoodTribe there is no denying that I love bear meat and this burger was no exception, there is no gamey flavor and the texture is nice as well. I am glad my parents got two bears on their hunt because I want some more already.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all for the love and support of the Top 5 burgers. It is one post I always look forward to doing and I pray I can do them for another year.
Have any of you tried bear meat before, are you willing to try it? Let me know in the comments down below. Once again thank you all for being supportive and so wonderful, that is why I really do love you all!
