Aldi released a new saké to celebrate the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Care for a glass saké while watching the Olympics?
I personally love the Olympics - especially the Winter Olympics - because it gives me a chance to feel absolutely and completely passionate about sports I normally wouldn't care for as well as the chance to follow sports I kinda like but wouldn't normally get out of my way to watch. This year's Olympics, as we all know, will take place in Tokyo and Aldi has just released a a new limited edition saké as a tribute to the Olympics and to the Team GB.
The new Sawanotsuru Saké will be available in the UK from July 22 (£4.99 for a 30cl bottle), just in time for the opening ceremony, which is scheduled for July 2023. The Saké comes from Nada-Ku, Kobe and it is made from fermented rice.
It is, according to Aldi, an "adventurous alternative to dry white wine" and comes with “refreshing, clean and delicate taste”.
