Andy Samberg will host tiny new cook-off show
“I like the dinky food,” Samberg said
There’s a new cooking contest show on the block. And it's tiny.
Biggest Little Cook-off will be hosted by comedian, actor and singer Andy Samberg. And with the Great British Baking Show and Nailed It lighting up our small screens, it’ll have some pretty big competition.
Biggest Little Cook-off will pit two top chefs against each other. They’ll battle it out to create the most delicious single bite of food — it might be sushi on a single grain of rice, or meatballs the size of a dime.
Samberg, who’s an SNL alumni and star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, will host and executive produce the food competition series for Quibi, a new mobile-only channel.
Samberg said: “Anyone who knows me knows I love dinky stuff. So when this show about dinky food came my way I said, ‘I like the dinky food'. I’m excited to bring my expertise in dinky things to the dinky cooking arena, and I’m also excited to bring a bag lunch, because the food is so dinky I’m for sure going to still be hungry after the shows.”
Quibi will debut in April next year. The idea is that millennials will pay $5-$8 each month to watch short-form originals like Biggest Little Cook-Off.
