Life has been really, really, really busy between work and my home, and I haven't had a lot of time to enjoy cooking, eating out, or FoodTribe! One of the things keeping me busy is our impending relocation from Atlanta, GA to the hot and sunny area of Boca Raton, Florida!
My wife's new company had us go down to Boca Raton to check out the area and see if we liked it, and my wife got very excited because of her memories of when her grandfather operated a Jewish deli down in the same area, when she was a kid. Seeking out a Jewish deli for her to get some good food at became a high priority for this quick, little two day trip.
We ended up landing at TooJays! because of the photos of their food online - it just looked so good! So this past Saturday, we woke up and took a quick drive out to the beach before we turned the car back in-land to get a proper Jewish deli lunch.
My happy place!
The water was crystal clear!
My wife ordered two of her favorites in a combo lunch; half a corned beef sandwich, on rye, and a bowl of matzo ball soup. I had a very hard time ordering, as everything on the menu looked so good. I eventually went with TooJay's deli dogs - topped with pastrami, cole slaw, and Russian dressing.
My wife's lunch was absolutely delicious! I sampled some of the corned beef sandwich and the meat was flavorful and tender. Her matzo ball soup was also packed with a load of flavor and had a beautiful home-made appearance to it.
Not bad looking!
That is what good corned beef looks like!
The matzo ball soup was PHENOMENAL!
My lunch was ridiculously good! The two all beef dogs were absolutely loaded with pastrami and coleslaw, all piled onto challah bread hotdog buns. All of the flavors just went together so well. In fact, I was initially intimidated by how huge my lunch was, but it was so good that I just scarfed it all down with a quickness.
This was ridiculously good!
I want more!
Ohhhhh hell yeah! I think I'm going to love living and eating down in Florida!

I LOVE TooJays!!!!!
I'm excited to be moving to FL just to eat there again!
FL has some of the best food. Check out the Ale House once you arrive. We also have some of the best Chinese & Italian you can get. Where we lack is BBQ & Mexican.
That'll do nicely 😜
