Who would have thought I could do three weeks in a row. I can barely remember to wash my socks let alone upload a weekly series for you guys. You should be very thrilled indeed. So, what facts do I have for you today?
Your wasabi is likely to be fake
If you think you like wasabi then the answer is, you probably don't actually know. You see, wasabi is actually an extremely expensive food to get a hold of. The real stuff costs £65 per pound of wasabi which is an incredibly high amount. This means that 99% of wasabi sold around the world is fake, unless you go to a really high end restaurant in Japan.
Processed cheese isn't actually America
America, I am sorry to break the news to you again America, but processed cheese was in fact invented in Switzerland back in 1911.
Honey will never go off
Yep, honey is likely to never go off. This is because it is low in moisture and very acidic meaning that the bacteria will die immediately. So, in theory honey could last forever, or at least longer than most other foods.
Brazilians eat weird pizza
I don’t know about you, but I find this most peculiar. Apparently, the most common pizza topping in Brazil is garden peas. I have had spinach on pizza and a soft egg on top but this just sounds very odd. I mean I would try Can you please confirm this Pat!
McDonald's sells 75 hamburgers each second
This is astonishing. Since coming to Uni, I can confirm that Maccies have a lot of returning customers but 75 hamburgers a second is crazy, and that's not even including everything else on the menu. That means they sell 4,500 a minute, 270,000 an hour and around 6 million a day. Or another way to look at it is that they have sold 90,000 hamburgers since I started writing this article. Truly fascinating stuff if you ask me. Oh, there's another 1,500...
