Boomer v Gen Z feud ramps up with damning TikTok evidence
The war continues... but we're staying out of it
The boomer vs Gen Z thing has really been put into perspective by the whole pandemic thing, amirite? What were we even arguing about in the first place?
But just for the sake of a bit of escapist distraction from our socially isolated new normal, let’s take a look at the latest development in the war of the generations.
A waitress took to TikTok with some very interesting… well, we’ll call it an observation.
As reported by Buzzfeed, a restaurant server called Kaitlyn Brande posted a video. It showed a pretty clear divide between how a group of boomers left their table when they were done eating, as compared to how a bunch of Gen Z diners left theirs. Watch the video here.
The 18-year-old commented under the video: “They get paid to do that” VS “we know restaurant life is hard, here, let us help you out” .
The boomer table was left in a total mess, while the youngsters neatly stacked their plates.
“I posted it because I thought it was ironic since older people always expect respect,” Brande told BuzzFeed.
She added: “I’m not saying I expect people to ever stack their plates like that, because hey, I'm a person too. I want to go out and eat and not worry about the dishes or anything. All I'm saying is it was cool and helpful of the younger people, and I appreciated it.”

Depends on the actual person not their age
agreed!
There are always two kind of people- let’s forget the group that left the place like a mess - I worked long time a a waitress- I still think of them a a coworker and try to help - some of the youngsters maybe do the same. Some youngsters I met, where like the older ones: I pay with my money to leave everything. Maybe they never really worked...hope, that they don’t have to learn in the future.
Well not all boomers do that though. Some of them are nice like my dad.
That’s interesting, in our place fast food places and food courts also have cleaners and servers but I still drop my trays at the counter. However this was pretty cool.
