both Uncooked AND burnt :(
For my dad's birthday, I thought about baking a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
Obviously, for this important event, I chose a sponge cake recipe that was tested before and I was very satisfied with the texture. I did the measuring, mixing and everything very carefully. The last time I baked something in the oven toaster the result was a burnt bottom, so I decided to preheat it for only 5 min and set the temperature 20 degrees less than usual. I knew this was risky, but i just didn't want a burnet cake for my dad's surprise birthday party! And this was it! The cake did pretty well, raised really good until just before the timer was about to go off, the centre collapsed and sank completely. There was no way to save it.
The disaster
The funny thing is that I checked the bottom later and it was overcooked :| (as shown in the first picture).
So there go all my hopes and dreams for a surprise, beautiful, homemade birthday cake!

It really does 🥺
I am so sorry 😞
Hahaha omg this is something would totally happen to me😂. We can always learn from mistakes😊
😂😂😂 I mean I get the undercooked part, but why did it still burn? 😅😅😂
Yes we can💪🏻💪🏻
It takes skills to do that 😂
So sorry it didn't work out. Can not wait to see the next attempt.
Thank you 🌹 The next attempt is really important! It better works😅
You are welcome. I am sure it will be great.
Oh, my baking success is 50% (maybe lower 😅). I also had my fair share of dried cakes that were still raw in the middle 🤣.
😅😅😂😂 Backing is a very precise thing! Everything should be perfect so the result turn out good!
