Finally proper autumn has come to Melbourne! It's cold, wet and miserable Sunday morning and hasn't stop raining since midday yesterday. Let's have local best on the plate, like fluffy Roquefort omelette, but using Blue cheese "Roaring Forties" from foodies' paradise, King Island and goat milk yogurt from another foodies' paradise, Gippsland, instead of Roquefort and Crème Fraîche, local bacon from tiny Smallgoods manufacturer. Plus locally grown black tomatoes, gently warmed rather than fried and Sauteed Mushrooms. One thing is wrong, though. I had to use green onions. Run out of chives. Ah, what a way to start a day!
