If you’re in the UK, you can’t have missed the news that the government’s chief advisor, Dominic Cummings broke lockdown rules back in March.
Cummings drove 260 miles from London to Durham with his family, while he and his wife were ill with Coronavirus symptoms.
While in Durham, Cummings also drove to Barnard Castle, which is about 25 miles from his parents’ home in Durham. His excuse was that he was testing his eyesight…
It’s been a while since people on all points of the political spectrum have been united. But there’s been calls from the left, right and centre, all wanting Cummings to be sacked.
Eye-PA
In a very quick turnaround, Brewdog brewery has released a rather cheeky limited-edition Barnard Castle Eye Test New England IPA.
All profits from the beer will go to funding the production of free hand sanitiser for the NHS and healthcare charities.
Brewdog says the beer is: “Short sighted beer for tall stories. Our New England, Old School IPA is locked down and loaded.
Dry-hopped for a juicy hit with pineapple, mango and hint of zesty lime.”
And of course, it’s a hazy Durham EyePA.
Sounds delicious.

Although it seems we were all unaware. Nice touch from brewdog. I'm going to give you an award Rachel but with my trifocals on god knows what it will be
Are we blaming the trifocals for you spelling my name wrong too 😉?
I need this beer. I love their zesty ones.
I can just about read "BrewDog"
We'll have to see what Michael Gove says about that...
Nice touch I hope the knobhead gets sacked for breaking those lockdown rules.
