My friends never guess this dish is made with Brussels sprouts when they first try it. I often replace the bacon with prosciutto and the spouts with lettuce when I'm in Italy. The dish also works well with grapes too in the summer.

  • Shredded, and sauteed with bacon or chorizo with salt, pepper, whole grain mustard and double cream they are awesome.

  • Fried Brussels sports are very nice. cook slight first with water in the frying pan until soft then fry with butter.

    • I agree but raw they don’t taste of sprouts at all for those who don’t like them. I loved them once I left home but not when I was young because my mum boiled them till they were mushy. Old school yuck!
