Burger Wars: Where does Burger King rank?

Let's see what you all chose for me...

I asked you all to choose me a burger from Burger King and by a landslide you all chose the Texas Double Whopper.

Does it taste as good as it looks? The short answer is... kind of.

*Disclaimer* The Burger King in my town does not offer the Texas Double Whopper. So what I had to do was order a double Whopper and swap ketchup for mustard. When I got home I added the jalapenos, which I likely added more than they would.

I want to start off by saying the only difference between a regular double Whopper and the Texas double Whopper is jalapenos and swapping ketchup for mustard. How lazy and unimaginative Burger King.

As I always do I tried a piece of the beef on its own. Not only is it a frozen patty but it had a strong burnt taste and was really dry. There is a odd smell that come from this burger that was a little off putting. Whatever the smell was you could taste it and it was not good. The buns were very soft as they should be. Honestly you could not tell there was bacon on it. The onions were still crisp and nice but that lettuce gave up before it went into the bag. The red ring of death was so soft it was almost slimy. I could not tell there was mustard on it at all but there was enough mayo on it for two burgers.

In conclusion the Texas Whopper is a lot of click bait with an odd smell. Would I order it again? No! Would I order something from BK again? Maybe! Seriously BK fix whatever is causing that smell. I have to rank it well below Wendy's and slightly above Applebee's.

Let me know in the comments what you all think. Do you all want me to add a list so you know where each place ranks? Tell me in the comments. I hope you all are doing well. Always remember I love you all!

  • Would you have another over the BigMac, is the question.

  • Does your burger king have a king's collection range? Our burger king has the normal burger range but then has these fancy ones in the king's collection range. They are more gourmet, with nicer thicker juicier meat patties, and the salads and things feel like the quality you would buy for home, so a proper lettuce leaf, any tomatoes are actually nice etc. Also they actually build these burgers better and wrap them properly so they look much closer to the actual promo photo. I only really get the ones off that part of the menu these days. I hope that if you have them there that they are as good as the ones here.

  • Their burgers have an overly strong odor and flavor of the fake flame broiled-ness.
