Some people say that we should fear machines because they will one day develop the knowledge and confidence to overthrow humanity (of course, a counter argument to that could be that if they did they’d be doing the planet a massive favour).

However, perhaps the time has come to start pitying machines – especially the ones that have to toil away in chocolate factories. Over the past few weeks new chocolate items have been gushing out of boardrooms at a faster rate than questionable dietary products on Instagram. If the chocolate churners are working as hard as the PR people are they must be desperately in need of a break.

Fortunately for sugar addicts that rest isn’t going to come about any time soon. Not content with announcing a vast range of Christmas goodies, Cadbury has now revealed a new chocolate bar.

Well, technically it’s new. The blossoming bar is really the winner of a competition that saw the public choose their favourite blend of chocolate out of three that were suggested by enthusiastic volunteers, meaning that the creation has actually been on sale for several months.

Named the Cadbury Dairy Milk Honeycomb and Nuts, the ingredients are a classified secret that only spies from MI5 have access to. Not really – they’re chocolate, honeycomb and nuts, aren’t they? If only there were already chocolate bars in existence that contained such mind-bending spectacles.

Still, rather than buying a Crunchie and a Fruit and Nut you’ll be able to save pennies and calories by purchasing a bar that combines the two. Plus, a special addition of caramel fudge is claimed to give the bamboozling imagination an extra sweet flavour.

Costing £1, Cadbury Dairy Milk Honeycomb and Nuts will be available in shops from January.
