Caution: Universal Studios' Confetti Milkshake recipe is dangerously indulgent
A milkshake with a slice of cake balanced on top? I'm in
Only a week, ago Disney World released its world famous churros recipe – but now Universal Studios theme park has shared a recipe for something far more elaborate, and far more calorific.
This is the Confetti Milkshake, a marvellous looking milkshake that is usually served at the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at Universal Studios. However, with the park closed, the world has been missing this showy shake.
Universal shared the recipe on its website blog, and began the post by saying, 'Whose taste buds are ready for a party right about now?'
Universal Studios suggests that the recipe is best for sharing – but if you're feeling like treating yourself, then go solo. Seriously? This has 3 scoops of ice cream, 2 slices of cake, almost a full cup of whipped cream and two spoonfuls of buttercream icing. If you eat this in one sitting, you might never stand again. So proceed with caution.

All you need is:
3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream
¾ cup milk
3 teaspoons of rainbow sprinkles, divided
2 slices of rainbow vanilla cake (they suggest you save yourself the hassle and use a box mix)
2 teaspoons buttercream icing
¾ cup whipped cream
If that list of ingredients hasn't given it away, this is a very unhealthy milkshake. But, considering that everyone's seemingly started jogging or cycling during lockdown, you should be able to work off the calories in no time.
If you're still with us after seeing that ingredients list, then here's the method:
1: Bake the cake according to box instructions and set aside until cool.
2: Make the buttercream icing and set aside.
3: Spread one teaspoon of icing on the rim of whatever glass you're using.
4: Rim the frosted glass with one teaspoon of sprinkles.
5: Place 3 large scoops of ice cream inside your blender.
6: Pour 1 teaspoon of sprinkles, milk and 1 slice of cake into blender.
7: Blend on medium-high until everything is mixed and smooth.
8: Pour milkshake into cup and top off with whipped cream.
9: Very carefully place a slice of frosted cake on top of whipped cream.
10: Garnish with sprinkles and get stuck in.
