CES news: Samsung unveils wine pouring robot
The new robot created by tech-giant Samsung can pour wine, put away groceries, and hand you a drink
At their 2021 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) virtual press conference, Samsung unveiled several new gadgets including their new Bot Handy robotic butler, which uses artificial intelligence to recognise, as well as pick up objects of varying sizes, shapes, and mass, around the home.
Currently, still in development and not yet for sale, the robot is able to perform household chores such as tidying, pouring a glass of water or wine, and sort dishes following a meal.
President and Head of Samsung Research, Sebastian Seung said that the “Bot Handy uses AI to understand objects, like a glass cup or ceramic plate, taking note of their shape and materials to work as your trusted partner. Bot Handy can move around and do things like set the table or put away groceries. It flips the script on what a robot in your home could look like.”
Stay tuned to find out when the Samsung Bot Handy is available for purchase.
