Challenge: Write a food law
FoodTribe has ruled pineapple on pizza is okay, so that's out.
When we were young and sullen, we learned that not everyone likes what we like. We were then taught that is okay, and that a world full of people who liked the same thing would be boring.
However, I can’t help but think that a world full of John Colemans would mean that I’d never dish some fried rice onto my plate and find it’s got raisins in it. Raisins belong in cereals and desserts. They don’t belong in curries, they don’t belong in rice, and no matter what the Brazilians insist, they certainly have no place on hot dogs. Their intense sweetness does not complement other flavours; it just makes you panic that perhaps the beans went into the vanilla pudding.
So as willing as I am to extend gracious live and let livism to my fellow food lovers, raisins in savoury dishes should be unlawful. Punishable by blue cheese.
