Deep-frying junk food seems to be a common thing in the UK at the minute from mince pies to Mars Bars, and now Jaffa Cake's are taking the plunge!
According to BelfastLive, the chip shop in Co Antrim has recently added 'full moon's' to their menu consisting of the sweet treat but not everyone is huge fan.
The spokesperson of the chippy stated: "They are going down quite well. Some people were a bit sceptical about trying them but once they ate they quite enjoyed it."
The shop went on to say they are already thinking about what they'd conjure up at "Halloween and Christmas"
What are your thoughts on a chippy batty jaffa cake?

I’m not sure how I feel about that
No neither am I...
I have 2 things to ask.
1.) As an American, what the hell is a Jaffa Cake?
2.) The UK is just now starting to deep fry junk food? We've been doing that for decades. Maybe thats why we have a high obesity rate...
I finally googled Jaffa Cake, as I had only previously heard about it on a Top Gear episode. Think vanilla cookie topped with a bit of orange jam and a chocolate top.
Sounds interesting.
When I lived in Carlisle 20yrs ago there was a chippy who would batter any chocolate bar you took in for you. It’s really common now, especially in the North & Scotland.
yeah maybe I'm behind the trend!
Are you Scottish?
I tried a battered mars bar the other week and to be honest, it was incredible. So I have high hopes for these
I might have to give it a go one day!
I tried one from a chip shop down the road and it was awful. Maybe it's luck, I dunno, some of my friends like it.
