Christmas is ruined after lorry spills thousands of Brussels sprouts on the road

Is this a blessing or a curse?

With Christmas just around the corner, we are all starting to put orders in for our Christmas dinners. This includes a nice fat turkey with all the trimmings and of course, Brussels sprouts.

But unfortunately, it looks like some people won't be receiving their sprouts this year after what happened in Rosyth, Fife at around 10:45am yesterday.

A lorry was on its way to deliver thousands upon thousands of sprouts but had a small accident at a nearby roundabout and toppled over. This resulted in a flood of sprouts to fill the streets.

Thankfully there have been no reports of any injuries and the police said they had to close the street down for a few hours to clean up the mess. I bet the driver is now carrying a lot of 'emotional cabbage'.

  • I was that amazing child who ate my Brussels sprouts, and tattled on those who didn't.

  • I didn’t realise that sprouts were related to squash! 🤣. Oh the puns are endless. It’s probably safer to transport them by boat.....gravy boat!

  • Steamed brussel sprouts, sprinkled with Master foods garlic powder, kraft parmesan, a dash of macadamia nut oil, and topped with whole seed mustard , goes well with many savoury meals.

  • What a waste! :-( I could have eaten those. But let's not forget - sprouts are for life, not just for Christmas.
