When you think of pies, you probably think of steak and ale, chicken, pork… but how about a Chocolate Cream Egg pie for your lunch?

Chunk of Devon, known for their savoury pies and pastries, have decided to capitalise on the nation’s sweet tooth, and have turned everyone’s favourite creamy Easter chocolate into pie form.

The Cream Egg Pie contains a rich chocolate sauce, smooth creamy filling, encrusted in a chocolate case.

Head hunk, Simon Bryon-Edmond said, “New product development often begins by fooling around with our favourite ingredients. The Cream Egg Pie seemed like the logical evolution for our range. Using on the best ingredients and free range eggs, it takes the humble pie to the next level. The super chocolatey pie is the ultimate Easter treat.”

If you’d like to get your hands on a Cream Egg Pie – and who wouldn’t – you can get involved here:

Chunk of Devon Cream Egg Pie – The review

Behold the Chunk of Devon Cream Egg Pie. I am typing this slowly, weighed down by, and now comprised entirely of... chocolate pie. If you're looking for indulgence, you're not going to find better than this. Perfect chocolate pastry filled to the brim with chocolate sauce and a thick fondant, all of which oozes out when you cut into it. It's like a Creme Egg, taken to eggstreme new heights. The whole thing has a pretty considerable 1100 calories, so needless to say I did share it with my household...! I'm a bit sad it's only an April Fool, more people need some eggstremely eggstravagant chocolate pie in their lives.

And from Cream Eggs, to Creme Eggs, which have been in the news a lot this week. And not just because it's Easter.

Ryan Hodgson tweeted this ‘horrifying’ video showing how much sugar is in one Cadbury’s Creme Egg.

We think he expected everyone to be equally ‘horrified’, but Twitter was not in the mood to be shamed for enjoying what is clearly a treat.

Now it’s time to leave me alone while I tuck into my Chunk Cream Egg Pie, which has a mere, um, 1100 calories in it. It might be the only thing I eat all week… wish me luck.

How much do you want to eat the Chunk Cream Egg Pie?
