Cockburn launches a new range of 'Instagram-friendly' port wines

Cockburn, named after the city of the same near Perth in Australia, is a company that specialises in port wine and it is now targeting a younger generation of consumers with a new range of port wine, conveniently housed in 'Instagram-friendly' bottles.

The new 'Tails of the Unexpected' collection consists of three blends - Ruby Soho, Tawny Eyes and White Heights. Ruby Soho is a premium ruby Port with a "ripe red fruit character" and designed to provide a zesty, fresh taste. Tawny Eyes is a barrel-aged tawny Port, aged oak casks to make sure the fruit and the oak flavors work together brilliantly to create a pungent, vibrant port. And lastly, White Heights is a medium-dry white Port with tropical fruit flavours and a 'distant' note of honey.

Rob Symington, Director at Cockburn's parent company Symington Family Estates, said this the brand's first "ever direct-to-consumer launch, and we want to engage a community of adventurous Port drinkers in Portugal and the UK with this new concept. We believe the wines, the serves, and the packaging represent an exciting innovation for the Port trade."
