Comfort food: Pea and sausage soup (grochowka) recipe

Recipe for tasty, aromative and warming soup for such cold days like these, which will keep you full and energized for a long time.
Shelled peas (500g)
2.5-3 sticks of sausage
1.5-2 litres of water
Garlic (x3 minced cloves)
Marjoram (x1 tablespoon)
Salt and pepper to taste
Additionally (especially for meat lovers, 200g of bacon and 200g of pork chop if you enjoy so meaty soups)
1. Prepare pot with 1,5- 2 litres of water. Add shelled peas, bay leaves, allspice and cook on low heat.
2. Meanwhile, slice sausage, chop onions, grate the carrot, peel and cut into cubes potatoes. Fry onion together with carrot till onion turns a little bit gold. Add to the pot, on the same pan fry sausage and add to the soup as well. 👇
If you decide to use bacon and pork chop, cut them into pieces and fry together with sausage.
3. Add marjoram, salt, pepper, minced garlic cloves and potatoes. Cook soup on the low heat for 50mins - 1h. 👇
