For those of you that don't know I am over in America in the state of Ohio. The approximate population of Ohio is 11.69 million and as of yesterday there were 5 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus. The governor of Ohio decided that K-12 would not have school for at least the next three weeks. Along with most sporting events are not allowing spectators which means they are also going to lose a lot of income as well. Yesterday is when the population went into panic shopping. This is what is going to spread sickness quicker than anything, mass amounts of people cramming into a grocery store. From my understanding it was worse than being at the store for a black Friday sale. The picture I am showing would normally have pallets of toilet paper and paper towels on the underside of the shelves. I took this picture at 6 am when the store opened today. I was told from some of the people I work with that you couldn't even buy fresh meat yesterday because it was gone along with most of the ramen and some canned items. I finished buying what few items I needed for my pantry today. Do you have what you need to survive?

Yeah it’s bad in Texas. My husband is a manager at Walmart. No days off so they can keep up with demand. Hard to keep anything stocked.
Oh my! That doesn't shock me though. I wish you all the best!
Thank you
We are in total lockdown in Québec City 🤬
Oh my! I hope you have everything you need. How locked down are you?
Supermarkets are open, but everything else is closed. Schools are shut for the next 14 days like every other thing. It’s quite eerie around here about now. But quiet is nice 😂
Thanks for your concern Jane. I’m off to the countryside for a bit...
Read moreHere in Britain we are delaying and going for "herd immunity", where it is hoped that more people will catch the virus, become immune and in theory get back to a normal existence.
Watch this space!
Interesting...I hope it goes well for you. Be safe.
Thank you. Either way it's never going to be easy. As I said earlier, in another post, If I get sick my dog will have to "self walk". That's assuming I'd be too ill to take her out 😏
I was quite shocked/surprised how empty the shelves were at my local big Tesco yesterday... no toilet roll, soap, hand sanitiser, but also loads of fresh stuff was out, pasta, sauces etc.
Weird thing is after I got off work I went to a small grocery store and it wasn't too bad there. It's like everyone went after all the bigger stores first.
Thank you. All good wishes to you. There are people under much harder conditions. We still have our jobs, there is healthcare and we have enough in the storage, no one has to be hungry. Please stay healthy and safe.
We will try our best! Thank you!
