Daniel Ricciardo has released a wine
Actually, it is a series of wines and I would like them both, please and thank you
When you think Daniel Ricciardo you don't necessarily think of fine wines, more champagne chugged from a racing boot, but now that is all about to change courtesy of a new partnership with Australian winemaker St Hugo.
Serving recommendation; from a shoe with a hint of "the juice of the foot".
The new DR3xSt Hugo is a limited edition collection in collaboration with the McLaren driver. Featuring a Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 and Barossa Shiraz 2014, each bottle is individually numbered as part of this year's limited edition release. It is all then done up nicely and presented in a gift box.
They are good looking bottles too. Love some good product design. Love it.
The cabernet is rich with regional violet florals, blackcurrant fruit and fine tannins, while the shiraz has opulent dark fruit flavours supported by very fine, chalky tannins. Apparently, I haven't had the chance to try the wines yet, but when I do, I'll let you know. In the meantime, to fill you in, here's Danny Ric and some wine.
Has this whetted your appetite for a class of something fruity? Which of the Honey Badger's wines most takes your fancy?
Cheers.

Wrong names! Badger Blood would've been catchy 👀
They really missed an opportunity here in not bottling something from Mclaren Vale....
The happiest drink known to man
