Delhi restaurant review: Maybe the search for authentic Indian food is over

Since I was 10 I believed that Delhi lags behind in restaurant offering authentic Indian Food. But a few days ago I found a restaurant QBA in Connaught Place (popularly known as CP). CP is basically a centrally located business district of Delhi. It is also a centre for youths to party and hang out.

CP has many blocks in which QBA is located in E- block. It is a restaurant having low music, dim lights and a peaceful ambience. At the restaurant, the most attractive thing was the chandelier (the fun part is that after entering the restaurant, for around 30 minutes I was thinking continuously that how much money would be spent just for lightings). The QBA is an ideal location for business as well as casual meet. QBA serves a variety of cuisine – Chinese, Continental, Indian, Thai and Lebanese.

The food they served was amazing and I can’t forget the taste of the Authentic Indian Food they served. I started with appetizers – soups (2 varieties Tomato Soup and Lung Fung Soup) and Honey Chilli Potato (Potato Fries cooked in gravy of sauce and cooked with addition of vegetables like Onion and Capsicum and some Sesame seeds). Both the dishes were tasty and when I memorise them I feel mouth-watered.

Those appetizers were followed by the main course in which pure Indian Authentic Food was ordered. The main course I ordered included Dal Makhni (whole black Lentils and red Kidney beans cooked with Spices and at last served with Cream and Butter) and Paneer Lababdar (gravy of Paneer chopped with Onions, Tomatoes, Cashews and Spices). I ate these two gravy items with butter roti (an Indian bread made in Tandoor and while serving applying butter on it).

The food was obviously delicious and the most important thing was that the authenticity of the food was not killed. The taste of the food will permanently be stored in a part of my brain which will definitely force me to go to this restaurant just because of its delicious and authentic food.
