Disney shares Halloween recipes... in May?
Everyone is releasing recipes at the moment, but Disney are getting ahead of themselves a little
Since cafes, restaurants, fast food chains and theme parks have shut up shop due to the pandemic, recipes have been flying out left right and centre. We've learnt how to make Gregg's sausage and bean melt, McDonald's apple pie and Universal Studio's mega milkshake. Disney has got in on the action too, releasing its churros recipe a few weeks back, as well as a recipe for dole whip and cookie fries.
But it seems Disney has since got a bit carried away. Despite Halloween being a full six months away, it's released a variety of recipes for Disney World Florida's Halloween celebrations. The days are already blurring seamlessly into each other during the monotony of lockdown, and this kind of mind-bending release is not going to help.
In fact, this is part of #Halfway2Halloween, a celebration of the fact that Halloween is six months away. Ridiculous, I know.
Disney has released a set of printable PDF recipes, so you can make these Halloween-y treats at home.
First up are pumpkin pancakes, which are usually served at Kona cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World.
Karen McClintock, food & beverage content relations manager, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts said, "For many of us, the Halloween season is a favorite time of year with all the creative costumes (for humans and pets!), festive parties, over-the-top decorations, and, of course, fabulous food!
"In honor of our #Halfway2Halloween celebration, I was excited to feature a couple of my favorite Disney Halloween and fall recipes from years past. (Full disclosure – I love anything pumpkin!) ‘The challenge? I could not decide which were my top two favorites so I turned to my team to select their favorites. The challenge? We had a six-way tie!"
Are you craving Halloween themed treats to munch upon in the blistering heat of summer? Or is this a highly untimely release?
