Needless to say, Disney World is closed at the moment. That means you can't ride on Space Mountain, watch the fireworks or hug Cinderella. However, since Disney World has released the recipe for its churros, you can at the very least make Disney-esque snacks.

Perhaps, with a bowl full of these, Lion King queued up on Disney Plus and some kind of rocking chair, you'll be able to come close to replicating that theme park experience in your living room.

    All you need is:

240ml of water, 8 tablespoons of butter, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon, 160g of all-purpose flour, three eggs, 24 tablespoons of vegetable or canola oil and 65g of sugar.

To make them, combine water, butter, salt, and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a rolling boil. Then, reduce to a low heat, add flour and stir vigorously until the mix forms a ball. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Next, add the eggs and stir until combined and set aside. Then heat the oil in a medium saucepan until temperature reaches 350˚F. Then spoon dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 1-inch strips of dough over the saucepan and cut with a knife – letting it drop into the hot oil.

Repeat until churro bites fill the saucepan, with room to fry. Then, when they're golden brown, remove them with a slotted spoon and drain the churros on a paper towel. To finish, mix the sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl and toss the churros until coated.

Done! Now you just need a bit of warm Nutella to dip them in. Delicious.

    • You can also buy packs of churros which taste perfectly fine when you bake them and dip them in chocolate. I always struggle to hold cooking morale whenever I think that a easier solution is at the shops.
