DIY burger kits from Shake Shack are here

It’s the quarantine meal you’ve been waiting for

1y ago

There are only so many pantry bean-based meals you can have. Sometimes you just need a burger. And now that social distancing stops us from just going out to grab one, Shake Shack has stepped in.

Home of possibly the best veggie burger ever (yes I know it’s all about the beef but seriously, have you tried the mushroom burger?!), Shake Shack is now delivering DIY burger kits.

Using the food delivery service Goldbelly, you can now order ShackBurger Meal Kits. Here’s the deal: for 49 of your hard-earned dollars, you’ll get ingredients for eight burgers. That includes 100% Angus beef, American cheese, ShackSauce and a potato roll. You then add your own lettuce and tomato.

Shipping could set you back an extra $25, but they deliver pretty much anywhere in the US.

(If you’re more into the ready-to-eat burger with fries, you can still grab that on Postmates.)

"Our mission as a company is to bring people an edible hug, a connection to a loved one even though you may not be with them, a moment of nostalgic comfort from a beloved food memory," Founder and CEO Joe Ariel told Thrillist. "We understand how truly important our mission is, now more than ever. As a long time Shake Shack fan since the days of their original cart in Madison Square Park, there aren't many comfort foods that touch my heart as much as the iconic Shake Shack burger."
