Do you go through food phases?
I'm obsessing over this pastry right now.
About a month ago, I found several new bags of chocolate chips in my pantry. They were still good and I was bored, so I researched recipe ideas for something other than my usual chocolate chip cookies.
I had a can of Pillsbury crescent dough too and realized I could make the easiest chocolate crescents in the world: unwrap the dough, place a pile of chocolate chips on the wider end, roll up, and bake. Voila! Serious deliciousness.
Last week, I got a chocolate croissant at Panera Bread for the first time and was literally hooked. It was so good and now it's all I think about.
So I'm going through a chocolate croissants phase and I want to eat them all the time. I'm making my easy ones tonight. Food phases like this come and go for me -- so what about all of you? Do you currently have a food phase and what are you craving?
