Easy peasy salted croissant recipe
Easy, fast, tasty – and perfect for an aperitif or buffet
If you're looking for a tasty snack, a different aperitif or a perfect buffet food... here it is!
These croissants are quick and straightforward to prepare if surprise guests arrive and you want give them a homemade snack.
Ingredients: ready-made puff pastry (by now you'll know that I often use it in my recipes), speck cubes (you can replace these with ham or bacon if you like), and mozzarella.
Cut the puff pastry into quarters (as in the photo) and add the speck cubes.
Add the cheese. I used a large hole grater, but you can also cut the cheese into small cubes.
Roll up the croissants, from the base to the tip. Try to close them well; otherwise, the cheese will run out. Brush some olive oil on the surface of the pasta (it will brown better).
Bake the croissants in a preheated, unventilated oven at 200° C for 30 minutes.
Et voilà – the little croissants are ready. Buon appetito!
