Easy Stromboli

So, I found this recipe online. However, I feel like I made enough significant changes to it for me to claim it.

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Flour
  • Provolone Slices
  • Salami Slices
  • Ham Slices
  • Mozzarella (shredded)
  • Capers
  • Roasted Red Peppers
  • Spinach
  • Egg
  • Garlic Salt
  • Parmesan (shredded)
  • Marinara

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Lay out wax paper and sprinkle with flour
  3. Sprinkle flour on top of your dough and roll it out
  4. Make rows of provolone, then top with salami, then ham, then mozzarella, then capers, then roasted red peppers, then spinach (sub or add any ingredients of your choosing)
  5. Once all your toppings are on the dough it is time to roll it up. Do this by lifting one side of the wax paper with one hand and guiding the dough with your others until it is completely rolled up.
  6. Press in the ends of the dough and the seam to close the roll up.
  7. In a small bowl beat 1 egg and a pinch or so of garlic salt. Brush the dough all over with the egg mixture and top with sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese and a bit of kosher salt.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat of the oven to 375 degrees and bake for an additional 25 minutes. Cut and serve with your favorite marinara.
