English Food! I'm Excited!
I found a surprise at my local American grocery store!
I spent a few of my younger years growing up in England when my dad was in the Air Force. Later in life, my parents moved to Ireland, and I got to visit them a lot. There are some things I fell in love with that are hard to get over here in the United States.
Today, while out grocery shopping, I discovered a small section of "British Foods" in my local supermarket. I got very excited by some of the items I found, not all went home with me today though.
Batchelors Mushy Peas
I love mushy peas served alongside a couple of dishes! Chiefly, fish n' chips. But I really like mushy peas on my Aussie meat pies, and with my bangers and mash!
Batchelors Curry Super Noodles
I brought a bunch of these home my last time in Ireland, which was a looooong time ago now. This was the only flavor they stocked of the Batchelors soups, but it's a good one.
Mmmmmmm! Curry noodles!
I'm not going to lie. I didn't need these. In fact, eating these will probably strain my marriage for a little bit. But when I saw these on the shelf, all I could think of is my friend Cursed Beans!
