Even if you haven’t been to space, you can still enjoy space-made beer
Three of the world’s most eccentric billionaires - Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk - have revamped and reignited the ’Space Race’ and that presumably led to the rise in popularity of space-themed products we’re seeing today.
Samuel Adams, for example, has just launched a new beer called ‘Space Craft’, brewed from 66 pounds of hops that travelled to orbit, 300 miles above Earth on the first all-civilian space mission in history.
According to Samuel Adams, this West Coast-style IPA has a “firm bitterness and tropical notes of grapefruit, guava, and passionfruit.”
The company actually asked fans (on social media) to help find the perfect name for the beer and after reviewing 5,000+ submissions, the name Space Craft was chosen.
It’s available at Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and Taprooms, and at GiveThemBeer.com, priced at $22.33 for a four-pack. The price is actually a nod to the Inspiration4 crew’s historic spaceflight, which lasted exactly two days, 23 hours and three minutes.
