EVERYTHING BUT THE “QUICHEn SINK”
Tonight we’re making the Quiche that’s open book, use whatever you have to whatever your liking is, to make this simple and delicious dinner.
We cheat by using a premade store bought pie crust. 🤫
Leek(from our garden), onion , tomato, zucchini, red pepper, mushroom and kale.
Again this can be whatever your heart desires or what’s in your fridge.
Other ingredients cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Eggs, milk and bacon bits.
Mix up the eggs(I used 5 for a standard pie dish) and a splash of milk like a scramble and set aside.
Sauté the veg until soft and turn off the heat to let it cool off.
Set your pie crust up in a dish, and when it’s all set up spread the cooked veg evenly in the crust. Season with salt and pepper and tonight we layered a bit of bacon bits and cheese before we poured the egg mixture over the veg. We feel if you put cheese down before the egg mixture it ensures every bite has some oooey gooey cheesy goodness. Once you pour the egg mixture season again with salt and pepper and sprinkle some more of that beautiful cheese on top. Place in a preheated oven at 425* Fahrenheit and cook until the top browns and the crust is cooked through (roughly 25 min ) . Garnish with fresh herbs of choice and serve with a salad for a meal fit for a king, happy cooking.
