Food memories from childhood #2

Food I ate growing up.

This would have to rank 2nd on my list. Growing up I could eat my body weight in this mac & cheese. Now it was not always Kraft more often then not it was a generic brand. But it all tasted the same. It was not uncommon for me to fix two boxes at a time just to eat while watching tv. Because of this my dad refuses to eat it and that has been over 30 years ago now.

Now that I am older I will only eat homemade mac & cheese. Call me spoiled and I am. If you ever had my wife's mac & cheese you can never go back to this. I have not had box mac & cheese in a very long time. So when I took a bite of this I about spit it out. Now I need to eat some homemade mac and cheese.

So foodtribers did you eat this growing up, or do you still eat it. If you still do tell me why in the comments below.

  • I love homemade Mac and cheese also, but I too still have a soft spot for Kraft mac and cheese. I confess I still grab a box once in a while.
