Friday Feast ep.2: Fried catfish with tempeh and sambal for 35 people
Following up to the previous post, here's the name I made for the series!
If you haven't seen my previous article about the food I make every Friday for charity, click here to find out more.
On this episode of Friday Feast, me and my mom agreed to make another simple yet tasty meal. There's no name for the dish itself, but one thing I can tell you it that it's made out of fried whole catfish (yes, we do eat whole fish as a normal meal here in Indonesia), cooked jasmine rice, fried tempeh (very famous with vegan diet), a slice of cucumber, and a packet of homemade sambal (spicy hot sauce).
3 out of the 35 boxes that we made.
For the catfish, we asked for some help from the next door neighbour to prepare it for us, due to the limited amount of time (these meals needed to be distributed by 9am). However, for the tempeh, rice, sambal and cucumber, we managed to prepare it ourselves.
Overall, it's hard work, but it's worth it! Hope you enjoy this episode of Friday Feast, and I'll see you next Friday.
