Germany meets America: Bratwurst with Slaw
Because it is great to mix Things up some Times.
Bratwurst is one of the most quintessential German Foods there is. Every Region has their Version, and usually it would be considered Blasphemy to actually like the Wurst of another Region.
Luckily, I do not Care about such Things. I love every Bratwurst equally, but my local Butcher makes the absolute Best. No Question about it.
Cole Slaw on the other Hand is one of the most American 'Salads' there is. It is full of Mayo, Krautsalat and Carrots. But of Course all that Mayo does not exactly make it healthy.
That does not matter a lot though. Cole Slaw is absolutely delicious. It does not matter if it is with Pulled Pork (the best), Steak (yum) or on a nice Burger (still very good). I. really love a good homemade slaw. This one was bought though.
A nice Combination.
Usually, we eat Bratwurst with Mustard here in Germany. Or Ketchup as a last Result. We also eat it with Bread Rolls and Kartoffelsalat. I did not want that today though.
There was some Store-bought Slaw in the Fridge though, and I thought that mixing up some Cultures would not hurt.
I was right. It was delicious. No other Condiments were harmed while eating this Bratwurst. The Roll remained untouched, until I had it with some Butter afterwards.
Food!
Today was technically a National Holiday here in Germany. I do not really care about such Things. I was out in the Woods in the Rain having the Time of my Life getting completely soaked.
And for Dinner, I then had my Bratwurst. It has been a good 1st May.
I am only sad Walpurgis had to be canceled for obvious Reasons.

Nice. Except ketchup or mustard we eat also with beetroots with horseradish ( sooo spicy that you can't breath sometimes 😂, but sooo good homemade is the best)
Not a Fan of either Beetroots or Horse Radish.

I do like a good bratwurst but once you brought up slaw and burgers all I can think of is a good slaw burger now. 😁
