I've always enjoyed a good meatloaf, ever since I was a kid. I wasn't raised on the dry, tasteless stuff. We had meaty, moist, and savory stuff. I temporarily retired my meatloaf about a year ago for no other reason than working on other recipes. I'm not one to follow an exact recipe as every dish is slightly different - an exercise to find perfection or at best something different. Any home cook should be excellent at five dishes, above average at ten, and comfortable with fifteen. Meatloaf is in my top ten, but not my top five. It's time to dust off the pans and try again. I encourage everyone, in these unprecedented times, to dust off an old recipe and try it again!
