Gordon Ramsay launched his own gin brand
(Probably not as good as May's)
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is joining the incredibly long list of actors, musicians and celebrities with their own brand of booze and in fact, just like our very own James May, Ramsay is launching a new brand of...gin, which is going to be produced in partnership with award-winning distiller Eden Mill.
Born and raised in Scotland, Ramsay wants the world to get familiar with the flavours of his homeland with his new gin range - dubbed 'Six Rivers' - inspired by the local taste found in Fife and the first gin of the collection is named after the Eden river, which actually run past Eden Mill distillery.
Ramsay said "there is a dynamic and vibrant gin industry within the UK. As one of the world’s fastest growing spirits segments, it’s been clear to me for a while that gin has huge appeal."
“The team at Eden Mill have an innovative approach to the art of distilling, it has been a joy to work with them and I really respect their passion for their craft," added Ramsay. "We set out to create a narrative from the area around the distillery, to forage ingredients and develop flavours that told a story and I absolutely believe we have done that.’
The Six Rivers range, starting with 'Eden' gin, is produced with botanicals found and grown withing 15 miles from Eden Mill's distillery, including the honeyberry. The gin is set to hit the shelves in the UK in October, with an RRP of £29.
