Gordon Ramsay roasts his daughter's cooking on TikTok

The famous chef doesn't even hold back when critiquing his own daughter's work

Gordon Ramsay has been suitably busy giving plenty of strangers 'feedback' via his TikTok account over the last few months, rating everything from Fish and Chips to Bell Pepper sandwiches – variety is the spice of life after all.

It seems that no-one is safe from the Ramsay roast though, as even his own daughter Holly has been on the receiving end of his critique.

Attempting to make her father's famous Potato Gnocchi (the recipe for which can be found here), it seems that perhaps the cooking genes haven't quite been passed down as well as Gordon may have hoped.

Falling at the first hurdle, Holly forgets to peel the potatoes before placing them in the boiling water to cook. Evidently cooking times aren't her strong point, getting them out the pan way too early.

Encountering mashing problems, Gordon yells at Holly through his phone "No, stop it! ... They're not even mashing because they're not cooked properly!"

Clearly unimpressed, Gordon ends the video with "You should know better, shame on you Holly!" as she can be seen garnishing her attempt at Potato Gnocchi. Regardless of whether she's a future chef Ramsay or not, Holly deserves full credit for trying – and for cooking under the watchful eye of Gordon in the first place.

  • I love watching him work, but like Mr. May, I cook to taste and no other benchmark. My presentation is horrid, I measure by eye, and I take a Bob Ross approach to mistakes, especially tasty ones. Ramsey would destroy me, but all I want to do is eat.

  • Not gnocchi, but little lumps of pasta, but definitely not gnocchi. Gnocchi is typically made by rolling dough into a lump using a fork.
