Gudetama is launching the laziest, cutest, cookbook ever

Gudetama is a Japanese character, part of the massive Sanrio brand, who is an adorable, lazy egg. He's taken Japan and the rest of the world by storm, selling merchandise from apparel to plushies, having themed restaurants dotted around the world, and even being featured on an airplane and a train. Now, the cute little egg sensation has its own cookbook.

"Gudetama: The Official Cookbook" is due out on October 12, 2021 and is currently available to pre-order. The cookbook will contain easy recipes inspired by Gudetama's love for laziness. The yummy foods range from Japanese treats, pies, meatloaf, sandwiches, and more. Each will feature a short and simple list of ingredients, along with little effort to make them.

It is authored by Sanrio and Jenn Fujikawa, who is best known for her creative Star Wars recipes and other work in pop culture writing with Disney, Marvel, and others.
