Happiness fills Britain as Nando's restaurants reopen
The chicken specialists will be returning to high streets in a staggered and health-friendly form.
Lockdown has taught us all a great many things – mostly that work really isn’t that bad after all. It’s also produced a worrying trend of people who think that they are musically talented and shown us that we are experts with a bit of flour and some bananas.
Not to mention the terrific job it’s done for the Durham tourism board.
As it would appear that the enforced restrictions of remaining housebound through the weeks of glorious weather are gradually coming to an end thoughts can once again switch back to the genuinely important things in life. Like, for instance, when is Nando’s reopening?
Well, the good news is that the answer is today!
The PERi-PERi chicken experts have decided to unlock the doors of ninety four of their UK chains, following successful trials in a select number of locations.
As it stands, dining in will still be prohibited in order to comply with the government’s coronavirus legislation, but delivery and click and collect orders are now being taken. The only issues that remain are how will your bank balance and stomach cope with the strain?
Staff are under strict instructions to follow health advice on regularly washing hands and will be provided with sufficient personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of themselves and customers. Because there is a need to maintain social distancing in the food preparation areas, a slightly reduced menu will be being run.
Just in case you needed any extra incentive to fill your boots with chicken and chips, Nando’s chillies reward scheme will be in place for all orders, meaning that they can be redeemed when the restaurants fully reopen.
After weeks of great struggle it’s finally time to say goodbye to improvisations and hello to the real deal. Thanks TikTok, but we’ll let the proper Nando’s take it from here.
