Have you tried grilled buffalo before?
This is my second grilled buffalo meal
As some of you may remember, a while ago I posted a grilled buffalo ribeye that I enjoyed greatly. After that I have been craving it more and more. So I found myself on Crowd Cow looking for some more of that buffalo goodness. I was tempted with another ribeye but convinced myself to try something else.
I found something listed as "Bison kebab meat" and thought that sounded like a great choice.
As with every other order we have placed from there, it was flawless. I can highly recommend them.
After seeing the chunks of buffalo I decided not to skewer them and just grill them as is. I also decided not to season them at all before going on the grill. Instead I put some finely ground sea salt, basil and cayenne into a little dipping cup on the side.
For sides we had some nice buttered green beans and these parmesan truffle baby potatoes my wife found at Kroger that are super easy to make and very good.
I must say bison is a very lean meat so it is going to be a little denser, and that is noticeable. It is not as tender and juicy as beef but that is ok because it tastes so good. I was happy I decided to do the dip method because I could get the right amount for each bite.
After this second meal I can definitely say buffalo will be something I will continue to indulge in you all. If you love meat like I do I highly recommend you giving buffalo a day in court for yourself.
