Right now, I am in School way up in Northern Germany. That is a long Way from Work, but that is not what this is about.
This Story is about the gorgeous Fish & Ships I had at the most wallflower Restaurant I have ever been at. It was so hidden away, I had to ask where to go at the local Sailing Club.
Kibbelinge & Chips
Unlike most Variations which might use Cod or Haddock, this German Version replaced those with some nice Frisian Kibbelinge.
Instead of Tartar Sauce, there was some nice Remoulade and a lot of finely sliced Onion Rings. It was very awesome indeed.

In True Kibbeling Fashion, the Fish was cut up into small, bite-sized pieces. The Fish was super juicy and very tender indeed.
It was also very nicely seasoned and the Batter was super crispy. Just like I love it.

Crispy so it can hold up to the malt vinegar, now I want some fish 🙄

The best fish and chips are always on the coast. I think the sea air adds to the flavour.
Also beef dripping makes far better chips than oil. It kills fewer orangutans too.
Very true. But there is no Sea Air here. It is just a big old freshwater Lake. 🤷♂️
