Heads up fast food fans, Wendy's is finally coming (back) to the UK
Square burgers for the first time in 21 years
If you live in the UK and have found yourself wondering what it would be like to experience the iconic Wendy's Frosty, or a square burger, and not have to get on a plane to do so, then you're in luck.
Last summer Wendy's announced plans to open restaurants in the UK, and now Big Hospitality has confirmed two locations: one in Reading and another in Oxford, Wendy's is also looking for locations in London.
A spokesperson for Wendy's said, "I can confirm that we will be opening a Wendy's in Oxford. Our first location is in Reading and we are exploring additional opportunities in the London area.
"The brand is excited to enter the UK with company owned and operated restaurants this year, and we are looking for franchisees to grow with us across the United Kingdom."
This actually isn't the first time Wendy's has been in the UK. Those old enough will remember that there was a handful of Wendy's across the UK in the 90s, but the last of those restaurants closed in 2000.
So what do you think? Are you excited for Wendy's to come to the UK and will you be eating at one?
