He's at it again... Travis Scott launches agave-based hard seltzer
Available from March 15
Fun fact: 50 Cent is a multi-platinum rapper, blockbuster actor and executive producer, and yet he got his biggest paycheck (by far) when he sold his brand of water (!) to Coca-Cola. Celebrity-endorsed drinks always sell out and while most celebrities choose to promote their own brand of spirits, beer or wine, Houston-born rapper Travis Scott has decided to do things differently and launch his brand of hard seltzer in partnership with beer giant AB InBev.
The "Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer" is made in Los Angeles from premium Mexican blue agave and available in three different flavors: lime, pineapple and strawberry. Scott says the inspiration comes from his love of Tequila and that "Cacti is something I'm really proud of and have put a ton of work into".
"Me and the team really went in, not only on getting the flavor right, but on everything from the actual beverage and the can concept, to the packaging and how it is presented to the world,” Scott said. “I’m a big fan of Tequila so I came at it from that angle, too. I’m really excited to put this out in 2021 and see other people be able to enjoy it".
Scott made headlines in 2020 when he launched his own McDonald meal, which went viral and netted Scott somewhere north of $20m.
Available in 12oz, 16oz and 25oz cans, Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer is ready to hit the shelves on March 15.
